2. USAGE GUIDELINES


This chapter describes guidelines for the interpretation and
application of the data made available by the CA MICS Tape
Analyzer Option (TAP).  This product is comprised of two
separately deployable CA MICS components:

o Tape Library Management (TLM) component
o Virtual Tape Subsystems (VTS) component

The TLM component provides IT management information for tape
library managed volumes and data sets.  The VTS component
provides IT management information for virtual tape
subsystems activity and performance.
