5.2.4 Data Class Summary File (VCADCS)

The Data Class Summary File is only of interest to sites
running MVS/SP Version 3 and above.  It shows a summarized
view of the DETAIL data in the VCADAA and VCA_VS files with
an emphasis on data class (STORDATC or as known in IBM
terminology, DATACLAS).  Data class is a name that can be
used to represent the physical attributes of a data set.
Coding or defaulting to a given data class name enables the
end-user to reduce the JCL required for allocation of new
data sets.
