3.2.5.2 Control Parameters


Using a short set of menus that are described in Section
3.2.4.1 of this guide, you see the Relative Importance
Analysis panel shown in Figure 3-30.

Figure 3-30 shows the control parameters that were used to
generate the Relative Importance Analysis query in this case
study.

Note that this sample study is conducted using a "typical"
day's activity, and the entire day's usage is selected as
input. Two systems, SYS1 and SYS2, are incorporated in this
study. Together they are used for a variety of development
and production purposes.

The data elements used to analyze the CPUTOBTM value are
specified in the "Specify Two or More Independent Elements
Below" list.  For the first execution, we included both the
"average" and "maximum" values for each of the basic
workloads: batch, TSO, STC, and USS.  This helped to
determine if there were significant differences among these
values and which set would be better used for the final
analysis.
