5.2.8 NPDA Event File (SNTNEF)

The NPDA Event File (SNTNEF) quantifies, by event type and
general and specific cause, conditions recorded by NetView
and CA NetMaster as events both within the network and for
channel-attached network communication devices.  The file is
derived from the NetView Hardware Monitor External Log
record, the NPDA Report record, or the CA NetMaster NEWS SMF
record.
 
Events for LAN resources are excluded from this file.  They
are written to the NPDA LAN File (SNTLNF), which contains all
NPDA reliability data for LAN resources.
