5.4.7 IP Statistics File (TCPIPX)

The IP Statistics (TCPIPX) file quantifies Internet protocol
(IP) statistics. The IP allows to transmit blocks of data
(datagram) between source and destination. The source and
destination are identified by unique addresses. In addition,
IP is capable of fragmenting and reassembling big datagrams
that enables it to transmit packets through networks that
cannot handle large packets.

The IP protocol is limited in the way it handles packets.
There are no built in mechanisms for error checking like
reliability, order of data, etc.

This file is derived from IP and/or IPv6 statistics sections
of the SMF record type 119 subtype 5 (TCP/IP Statistics
record).

The following sections describe the file's organization, list
the data elements maintained, and provide usage hints.
