5.4.5 API Calls for Sockets File (TCPAPI)

The API Calls for Sockets File (TCPAPI) quantifies API calls
activity.  The API calls are used by a server to provide
services to clients. They are also used by clients to
establish a communication link with the server.
 
This file is derived from SMF record types 118 and 119. In
SMF record type 118, the API Calls for Sockets record is
identified by characters 'INIT' or 'TERM' at offset 21.  In
SMF record type 119, it is the subtype 2 (TCP connection
termination record).
