7.1 Accounting Journal Files (ACTJxx)
The accounting journal files (ACTJxx) quantify the amount of
each billable item (CPU, I/O, etc.) that an individual work
unit (job, TSO session, etc.) consumed, the amount that was
charged, and the rate at which the charge was calculated.
Unlike the other files described in this chapter, there are
multiple accounting journal files, based on the number of
unique accounting processes and data sources required. The
number and type of journal files that are maintained are a
function of the CA MICS Accounting and Chargeback algorithm
generation options that are defined in the Accounting and
Chargeback installation process. The standard set of
accounting journal files is shown in Figure 7-1.
