4.2 Defining Charging Elements, Invoice/Credit Categories
Charging elements represent resources or items charged for,
such as CPU time, transactions, or terminals. Each charging
element must be associated with a computation code before it
can be used in a Rate Table charging algorithm. Each
computation code must be associated with an invoice category.
And each credit that you issue must be associated with a
credit category.
CA MICS Accounting and Chargeback is delivered with default
charging elements, invoice categories, and credit categories
already defined in tables. You can modify these tables to
suit your installation.
