3.3.2.4 Weekly Batch Resource Consumption Report

The Weekly Batch Resource Consumption Report quantifies the
resource consumption on an hourly basis for each identified
day and computing system for the previous week.

The horizontal axis represents the hours of the day and the
vertical axis charts the number of service units consumed.
The management objective to be tracked for evaluating the
resource consumption of the batch workload is the quantity of
service units consumed within an hour of the day.

Figure 3-23 illustrates the Weekly Batch Resource Consumption
Report based on a management objective of 12 million service
units per hour.  Since the management objective is to consume
less than 12 million service units per hour, the charted
values should be less than the reference line shown in the
chart.

The following user option applies to this report:

    o  Daily Batch Service Unit Consumption - the target and
       maximum number of service units consumed per hour by
       batch.  The target amount is used for a reference line
       on the graph and the maximum is used to set the
       maximum value on the graph's vertical axis.

The SAS MACROs  _SMFSAX and _SMFSREF define the vertical axis
maximum scaling and reference line for service unit
consumption by hour in the daily and weekly reports for
reporting batch, TSO, and system tasks.
