9.2 Analyzer Daily Update Flow

This section describes the daily processing flow for the CA
MICS Analyzer Option for VM/CMS and its relation to the
locations of the VMC User Exit Routines. For specific
inquires, see the source code (program modules DYVMCFMx,
VMCACTxx, and VMCMXAxx) or contact CA Technical Support at
http://ca.com/support.

The update process is divided into seven distinct processing
phases:

     o Account Post-Processing Phase
        - develop derived elements
        - interface with Installation Accounting

o Input Raw VM Monitor Phase

     o VM Monitor Post-Processing Phase
        - develop interval data values
        - develop derived elements

     o Consolidation Phase
        - joining of exceptions and log files

     o Database Timespan Update Phase

     o File Aging Phase

represented within lined boxes and product exits are
represented within starred boxes.

The following sections describe the general logic flow in
each phase and the location of standard user exit routines:

       2 - Account Post-Processing
3 - Input Raw VM Monitor Data
       4 - VM Monitor Post-Processing
