5.3.6.3 VMXXDV Usage Considerations


Special considerations or techniques related to using the
VMXXDV file are provided below:

o  The contents of the VMXXDV file may not reflect activity
   for all devices in the I/O subsystem.  This will be true
   if the monitor has been set to collect data for only
   specific devices, device types, or device classes.

o  The VMXXDV file contains one observation per subchannel to
   a device.  To see all activity for a device, the file must
   be summarized by VMXDVDEV.
