5.3 Output Files

Output files produced by the VM Data Transfer Program reside
on the MVS system and are an image of the input data,
although they can reside on a different medium.  Output files
have the same format as the original files read by the data
transmission program.  Original files read as sequential
files produce files with the same record format.  Original
files read as VM spool files produce fixed format files if
the spool file contained VM Account data, and variable format
files if the spool file contained VM Monitor data.
