Recreating Deleted Database

If the jobs database VSS.DAT was deleted for any reason, you can recreate a new database with the optimal key attributes.

Follow these steps:

  1. Start the Job Management Manager and allow it to create a new empty database.
  2. Shutdown the product cluster wide using the command: 
    $ SCHEDUULE STOP/ALL or

    $ @SYS$STARTUP:CAPOLY$SHUTDOWN.COM on each node of the cluster
  3. Run the convert utility on the new database: 
    $ CONVERT/FDL=NSCHED$DATA:VSS_STANDARD.FDL NSCHED$DATA:VSS.DAT NSCHED$DATA:VSS.DAT
