DD Keyword Order

The JCLNeat default sequence of keyword parameters on the DD statement is as follows:

To override the existing order for EXEC keyword parameters, specify the desired sequence in the KEYWORDS DD data set as follows:

Column Number 1  4
              DD Keyword1
              DD Keyword2
              DD Keywordn

Note: You must specify the DSNAME and VOLUME keywords in their long form for JCLNeat to correctly process both their long and abbreviated forms, DSN and VOL.

The keyword sequence specified here completely overrides the default sequence defined to JCLNeat or user modified defaults.

Keyword parameters encountered in the original JCL and not specified in this sequence are:

• Alphabetized and placed in the reformatted JCL before the last keyword in the table, if the last keyword is coded in the original JCL.
• Alphabetized and placed last in the reformatted JCL if the last keyword in the table is not coded in the original JCL.
