JCLNeat outputs reformatted JCL to either a partitioned or sequential data set.
For PDS output, members are placed into the output PDS with the same member name as in the input data set.
For sequential output, you can optionally specify one to five library control statements in the ADDCARDS DD data set. When a new job or other logical break is encountered in the input stream, JCLNeat will:
This feature permits you to construct an input stream for subsequent IEBUPDTE, CA Librarian, or CA Panvalet processing.
Note: If you request sequential output but do not specify any ADDCARDS, the JCLNeat resultant output is a continuous JCL stream.
The option combination of INLIB=SEQ and OUTLIB=PDS is not supported by JCLNeat.
