JARSWZ06 Execution Description

The INPUT, SELECT, and COMPUTE statements function as in previous examples. Other statements function as follows:

SORT

When no fields are given in a SORT statement, the sort is done on the fields listed in the BREAK statement.

BREAK

BREAK usually specifies a single break field. Only records for the lowest level control break are written to the ranking file.

RANK

The maximum number of records to list in each report and the fields to use in ranking are specified. This product produces a separate report for each field.

LIST

LIST indicates what data fields to print, as usual. In addition, its location tells CA JARS Wizard how many reports to print:

• If the LIST statement appears before the RANK statement, CA JARS Wizard generates the regular detail or summary report for the run in addition to ranking reports.
• If the LIST statement appears after the RANK statement, only the ranking reports are generated.
