Inbound Conversation

If specified, applies to records created from the SMF 33, subtype 2 record with the inbound indicator set. These records are created with a processing ID of R. They are differentiated for other records with a processing ID of R by an I in byte 266 of the account record and an A in byte 299. The charge is calculated as follows and placed in the RJE Charge/APPC Charge field:

RJE/APPC Charge = (Send Rate x Kilobytes Sent) +
                  (Receive Rate x Kilobytes Received) +
                  (Call Rate x Number of Calls)

Note: If APPC/TP Name is specified, then the original APPC/TP Name must match that on the APPCRATE statement. Position 59 of the OPTION set to Y causes the collection of SMF 33 information. Without this setting, no APPC transaction of conversation information is collected.
