This report provides information collected by RMF (EXTDATA type R72W) about performance goals and actual performance as viewed by WLM. The data is totaled over all available intervals, and broken down by service class period, service class, and workload. Only service classes are reported.
This report can be used as an overview of service classes that don't meet their goals and need to be tuned.
The fields in the report are as follows:
Workload importance.
Type of goal: RESPPCNT (response time percentile), RESPAVG (average response time), EXECVEL (execution velocity), DISCRET (discretionary) or SYSTEM. MIXED on the total line means that the goals are different, so some summary values may not make sense.
Total number of transactions completed over the period covered.
Number indicating if the goal is met and how well. If less than or equal to 1, the goal is being met (the less the better). If greater than 1, the goal is not being met.
Note: For response time percentile goal, the performance index is computed differently than WLM computes it, but the above still holds.
Average transaction response time.
Goal transaction response time. For average response time goal, this is the target average transaction response time. For response time percentile goal, this is the time that the defined percentage of transactions must attain in order to satisfy the goal. This number is not defined for other goal types.
Response time percentile. This is the percentage of transactions that have response time lower than the goal response time.
Note: The goal response time is defined differently depending on the goal type.
Goal response time percentile. It is the goal value for response time percentile, and is only defined for response time percentile goal.
Actual execution velocity. It is the percentage of time that was spent doing useful work to total time.
Goal execution velocity, only defined if the workload has execution velocity goal.
Percentages of samples during which this work was found executing and found delayed.
Average number of address spaces active at one time for this work.
