Set Composite Support Using the Online Method
The online method of setting composite support consists of the following steps:
- Access the Composite Support screen.
- Enter link‑edit information.
- Press PF5 to process the specifications.
To access the Composite Support screen, perform these steps:
- Access the Program Monitoring Menu (2.1) and enter the composite module name in the Program name field.
- Type an S next to the Composite option, and press Enter.
Enter the following information for COBDEMO and each subprogram you want to test separately:
- Link‑names of the main program and each subprogram you want to test (required).
- Monitor‑names for each subprogram you want to test (required).
- Hexadecimal offset and length of the main program and each subprogram you want to test (required).
- Language of the main program and each subprogram you want to test (optional). If CA InterTest for CICS has symbolic information for the programs, omit this field because CA InterTest for CICS uses the language specified in the symbolic post‑processor batch job. However, if you omit the subprogram language and CA InterTest for CICS does not have symbolic information for that program, it defaults to the language of the main program.
To complete this screen, perform these steps:
- Enter the link‑name, offset, and length specifications as listed on the link‑edit map. Observe the rules for monitor‑names as described earlier in this section.
- After entering the necessary information, press PF5 to process the specifications.
Note: Remember, it is not necessary to enter information for subprograms you do not plan to test separately.
