Workflow Control Methods

CA IdentityMinder provides two methods of placing tasks under workflow control.

Template Method

CA IdentityMinder includes workflow process templates you can use to place tasks under workflow control. The template method lets you use these templates to configure and manage workflow entirely from within the User Console. Introduced in CA IdentityMinder r12, these generic process templates can be configured to control most CA IdentityMinder tasks and events.

The template method enables the following new features:

WorkPoint Method

CA IdentityMinder also includes a set of predefined workflow processes with default event mappings that correspond to specific CA IdentityMinder tasks. The WorkPoint method requires you to configure and customize these processes from within WorkPoint Designer. These predefined processes are compatible with releases prior to CA IdentityMinder r12.
