Update Global Users using CA IdentityMinder

Updates to users in the provisioning directory occur when you use an admin task that modifies users. If no global user exists, no synchronization occurs.

Outbound mappings match the CA IdentityMinder user events to an outbound event that affects the provisioning directory.

If a user exists in the provisioning directory but not in CA IdentityMinder, you can create that user in the User Console. If you have mapped attributes for the create task and the users have the same user ID, the attributes for the provisioning user are updated in the provisioning directory. Now you can manage that user from the User Console.

Note: If an event updates user attributes and you want the values to be synchronized to CA IdentityMinder, then you need to map the events to the Outbound Event: POST_MODIFY_GLOBAL_USER.
