Modify the Directory Configuration File

Perform the following procedure to modify the directory configuration file.

Follow these steps:

1. Configure a connection to the database.
2. Specify the amount of time that CA IdentityMinder searches a directory before terminating the search.
3. Define the user and group managed objects that CA IdentityMinder manages.
4. Modify well-known attributes.

   Well-known attributes identify special attributes, such as the password attribute, in CA IdentityMinder.

5. Configure support for self-subscribing groups.
6. If your environment includes organizations, configure organization support.
