Passwords on UNIX and Linux

CA IdentityMinder can intercept an account's password change on a UNIX or Linux system, and propagate it to all other accounts associated with its Global User. The component used to authenticate passwords against external security systems is called Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM). With PAM, CA IdentityMinder authenticates passwords against external security systems so that global users can use their existing system passwords to log on to CA IdentityMinder.
