Decide User Store Requirements

A CA Identity Manager implementation must include a user store that contains the user identities that CA Identity Manager maintains. Typically, this is an existing user store that an enterprise uses to store information about its users, such as employees and customers.

If your implementation includes provisioning, CA Identity Manager also requires a provisioning directory that includes global users, which are associated with accounts on endpoints such as Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and Oracle.
