Install Connectors

CA IAM Connector Server comes with many connectors. You do not need to install these connectors.

When we update a connector or create a new one, we post it on the Connector Download page. If you want to add a new or updated connector, use this download page, as described in the following instructions.

Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Connector Download page.
  2. Find your connector, then download its Endpoint Guide and its attribute list.

    Note: Not all connectors have an Endpoint Guide yet. For those that do not, use the link to the CA IdentityMinder Connectors Guide.

  3. Download the connector file. This ZIP file contains the following components:
  4. If CA IAM Connector Server is already installed, put the JAR file into any local directory, then deploy the connector.
  5. If CA IAM Connector Server is not installed, install the new connector when you install CA IAM Connector Server:
    1. Find the old connector ZIP file in the installation files for CA IAM Connector Server, then rename the file.
    2. Add the new connector ZIP file to the installation files for CA IAM Connector Server. Ensure that the filename is the same as the old connector file.
    3. Run the installer for CA IAM Connector Server.

      The CA IAM Connector Server installation program also installs the new connector.

The connector is now available for use.

Contents of Downloaded ZIP File for a Connector

When you download a connector from the Connector Download page, you receive a ZIP file. The ZIP file contains the following files:

The name of the downloaded file is acf2acfesage.zip.

This connector does not support custom attributes, so the metadata file is not supplied separately.

The installation files for the CA products that use CA IAM Connector Server each contain the CA IAM Connector Server files. However these installation files for CA IAM Connector Server are supplied in different locations in each client:

When you install CA IAM Connector Server, you can define its installation location, or you can accept the default location.
