CA UAR Integration

With CA UAR integration, you can import CA UAR usage data into CA GovernanceMinder. CA GovernanceMinder then displays this usage data during certifications. Applications in CA UAR correspond to resources in CA GovernanceMinder. CA UAR records user access to an application and CA GovernanceMinder then retrieves this usage data to display during a certification.

For example, before you certify user access to a resource (application), you can review the usage data on how often the user actually accesses the resource.

You enable CA GovernanceMinder integration with CA UAR per universe.

Perform the following process to enable CA UAR integration:

  1. Review the prerequisites for CA UAR integration.
  2. Configure communication between CA GovernanceMinder and CA UAR, as follows:
    1. Import CA GovernanceMinder queries into CA UAR.
    2. Create a CA UAR security certificate in the keystore of the CA GovernanceMinder server.
    3. Register CA GovernanceMinder on the CA UAR server.
    4. Update CA GovernanceMinder properties.
  3. Map data between CA GovernanceMinder and CA UAR, as follows:
    1. Set the application attribute in the CA GovernanceMinder Universe.
    2. Map CA UAR applications to applications in the CA GovernanceMinder universe.
    3. Update usage data from CA UAR to CA GovernanceMinder.
  4. To confirm feature setup, open a configuration of the universe in the entity browser, and verify that usage icons appear for users and resources.
