Copy the Connector Configuration to the CA RCM Server
Copy the connector configuration files to the CA RCM server installation directory to run connector jobs from the CA RCM portal. This lets you use the portal's advanced scheduling tools and integrate retrieved data directly into the active configuration.
- If you installed CA RCM server and client applications on separate systems, copy files from the client system to the server.
- If you installed all CA RCM applications on a single system, copy files between directories on this system.
To copy the connector configuration to the CA RCM server
- On the CA RCM server, navigate to the following directory:
RCM install/Server
Note: RCM_install is the CA RCM installation directory.
If the CA RCM server is in a WebSphere/AIX environment, create this directory as a shared resource accessible to all servers in the CA RCM cluster.
- Create a subdirectory named Connectors.
Note: If you already configured other connectors, this directory exists.
- On the system that hosts the Client Tools, navigate to the following directory:
RCM_install\Client Tools\Software\Converters\
- Copy the entire \CA sub-folder from this directory to the \Connectors directory you created on the CA RCM server.
- If you have a cluster, repeat this procedure on all servers in the cluster.
- (Optional) Perform one of the following tasks in your operating environment:
