Dynamic Notifications

To support Smart Provisioning functionality, certain changes made in CA Identity Manager are immediately passed to CA RCM. This allows CA RCM to make provisioning role suggestions and validate changes against compliance policies and patterns, based on current Identity Manager information instead of waiting for another import from CA Identity Manager to update the information.

CA Identity Manager dynamically notifies CA RCM when the following events occur:

• Creating, modifying, or deleting provisioning roles

  Important! CA Identity Manager does not pass changes to the account templates associated with the provisioning role, or changes to the details of account templates in a role.

• Creating, modifying, or deleting a user

  Note: CA Identity Manager provides dynamic notification support for attributes that are defined in the CA RCM Attribute Mapping table in the Configure an RCM Connection task.

• Assigning or removing provisioning role membership

These dynamic notifications occur automatically when an active connection to CA RCM exists in an Identity Manager Environment. No additional configuration is required.
