Guidelines for Cache Optimization
The default cache size is sufficient for most of the installations. Depending on the requirements, you can customize the cache sizes.
Follow these guidelines for optimizing the cache:
- For a large user base that regularly logs in to use the system, increase the cache size at least for the admin roles.
- For a small user base, reduce the cache size at least for the admin cache.
- For the user base where most users infrequently use the system, limit the cache size of at least the Admin cache. An example of an infrequently used system is one that is used for self service requests, such as requests to change passwords or update the user profile.
- For the low memory systems, lower the cache size to provide more memory.
