Set or Change Packager Properties

From the Packager GUI, you can set and change some Packager properties, such as the editor being used, logging, and incrementing the build number or the revision number.

To set or change Packager properties

  1. Choose Edit, Properties from the Packager GUI menu bar.

The Properties dialog appears and shows the following tabs:

    Editor

Lets you select a text editor from the drop-down list, as follows.

    • If you select Default, the internal editor is used by default.
    • If you select another editor, you must specify the path where this editor is located, or browse for the editor location using the browse button (...).
    • In the Editor options field, you can specify file open options for the editor selected.
    Logging

Lets you specify whether the creation of the PIF package should be logged.

Checking the check box switches logging on, and clearing the check box switches logging off.

Note: If you have switched logging on, you must specify the log file name and path in the Logging field, or browse for the log file using the browse button (...).

Note: You can also view the log file by clicking the View log file button.

    Build

Lets you automatically increment the build number or the revision number, as follows:

Note: The version includes 4 parts: <major>.<minor>.<build>.<revision>

  2. Click OK.

The changes are applied to the Packager properties.
