Upgrade Considerations

After you have upgraded the OS Image Prepare System, domain manager, and boot servers, you must update the OS and boot images to use the latest image templates and to help ensure that the images are FIPS-compliant.

Note: Although an updated OS image is FIPS-compliant, the installation of the image at a target computer becomes FIPS-compliant only if the software delivery Release 12.8 agent has been installed on the target. Verify that the Release 12.8 software delivery agent is available in the staging library of all boot servers involved. OSIM automatically installs the latest version of the software delivery agent on the targets.
