User definitions are required for access to the MDB. Some CA Technologies products create users automatically during installation; others require that you create users manually. Consult specific CA Technologies product documentation to determine what is required.
If you use an external tool such as a report writer for creating new applications to access MDB data, you may need to create new users for that purpose.
If you access database objects used by an existing CA Technologies product, any new database users you create must be added to an existing database access group for the CA Technologies product.
If you access new database objects, or database objects from several different products, you must create a new user group for the database and add the user to that group.
