Run the CA Business Intelligence Installer
The following steps document a console installation.
To run the CA Business Intelligence installer
- Start the installer. Run:
$./cabiinstall.sh
- Enter Y to accept the license agreement.
- Enter:
- Username: bobje
- Password: bobje
- Enter Yes to Install sample database and templates.
- Enter Yes to save the response file.
- Press Enter to save it at the default location, or provide a custom location.
- Select your preferred installation language.
- Enter the installation directory.
- Select ENGLISH for the language packs that you want to install.
- Select User - Regular BusinessObjects Enterprise installation.
- Select New (Install a new Enterprise system).
- Provide an Administrative password, then confirm it.
- Change the CMS port if you do not want to install it on the default port 6400.
- Select Use an existing database (Oracle/DB2/Sybase/MySQL).
- Select Oracle as the Database.
- Provide the TNS name, Username and Password.
- Enter a name for the Server Intelligence Agent Node (for example: cabi123). Use the default port 6410.
- Select Install Tomcat, deploy web applications, then press Enter.
Important! Use the Enter key to select this option (do not enter the number 1).
- Accept the default port. If an error is shown that the port is in use, change the port.
- Press Enter to accept the installation directory.
The installation begins.
- After the BusinessObjects Enterprise installation is complete, press Enter to exit.
