FILEDEF commands for the batch command facility (CMS)
To format a new or existing database file:
FILEDEF userdb DISK userdb dbfile fm (RECFM F LRECL lll XTENT nnn Additional file assignments, as required
To format a new or existing disk journal file:
FILEDEF j1jrnl DISK j1jrnl jrnlfile fm (RECFM F LRECL lll XTENT nnn Additional journal file assignments, as required
To format a new or existing SYSTRK file:
FILEDEF ffff DISK idms systrk1 fm (RECFM F LRECL lll XTENT nnn Additional journal file assignments, as required
