This guide provides information on converting a Total database to a CA IDMS/DB Database. Total is a product of Cincom Systems, Incorporated. CA IDMS Total Transparency is the tool you use for database conversion and runtime operations.

This guide is for database administrators converting Total databases to CA IDMS/DB databases and for application developers running Total application programs against the converted databases.

You should be familiar with CA IDMS/DB concepts and facilities before you use this document and the CA IDMS TOTAL Transparency product.
