Reason:
Record name used in the FROM clause of the SQL SELECT statement is not found in the data dictionary. Assume that this record is a table and we will look for it in the catalog via IDBCAT. IDBCAT requires the DDLDML area to be readied in update. 0966 error status results when this happens. Check for incorrect spelling of record names. Check to see that the records exist in the data dictionary. Ensure the ACCESS MODE is set to IDMS when attempting to retrieve SQL table information.
