Reason:
An attempt to modify a table has failed. The object table has been assigned the DATA IS ALPHANUMERIC attribute and has alphanumeric values associated with it. Remove the alphanumeric values from the table definition or supply the name of an edit table that has been created with the DATA IS NUMERIC option.
