Reason:
Prior to opening a data set, File mapping attempts to capture information regarding the data set attributes, devices, etc., in order to validate that these characteristics exist and are correct, and to enforce certain specifications in the IDD file entity associated with the map.
Examine the log for associated 3rd level messages.
