Reason:

The message indicates the number of logical records read by the I/O requestor during the time it was active. For example, if the requestor was a map, then this would represent the number of logical I/O operations successfully performed by that map.

For data sets, this represents the total number of physical records (blocks) read by all I/O requestors during the time the data set was active.
