Processing Flow

When you enter a DICTIONARY command, CA Endevor/DB performs the following processing:

• Validates the input parameters to insure that:
  • You are authorized to perform the action (MODIFY or BROWSE) for a DICTIONARY. If you are not, the system will print an error message and disallow the transaction.
  • The values specified in the input parameters are valid and all required clauses are specified for the command.
• Performs the requested action.
• Prints a confirmation message that the action was successfully completed.
