In a network, multiple paths can exist between nodes; if one path becomes unavailable, CA IDMS DDS selects another path to maintain communication between nodes.
VTAM users, however, can alter the path selection by changing the weights associated with a CA IDMS DDS port. See the CA IDMS System Generation Guide for a discussion of the WEIGHT FACTOR DDS PTERM parameter.
