The Audit Report contains a list of parameters used as input to CA IDMS/DB Analyzer and all messages (informative, warning, and error) dynamically generated by the Analyzer; it also provides a summary of all processing that occurred. See Chapter 5, "Messages" for a discussion of the three types of messages and information about specific messages.
The first part of the Audit Report, the Input Parameter Report, can include two categories of messages: Parameter Messages and Processing Messages. An Audit Report is shown in the following display. A column ruler appears at the top of the report.

1 COLUMN RULER--designates the active area for a parameter statement (first 72 positions).
2 PARAMETER MESSAGES--list all input parameters and also convey information about parameter processing.
Parameter messages appear in a two-column format. The left column contains the number and text of the message; the right column contains user input. Several parameter messages are shown in the screen display. An I at the end of the message code indicates an informative message; an E indicates an error message; a W indicates a warning message.
3 INPUT PARAMETERS
4 ERROR--The message code ends with the letter E. CA IDMS/DB Analyzer underlines parts of the input parameters with asterisks (*) to make it easy to find the location of an error. It may also underline parts of messages with a capital letter X to indicate portions of the parameter that were not checked because of a previous error.
6 PROCESSING MESSAGES--indicate successful or unsuccessful completion of steps, or list processing errors detected. If ACCUMULATION or ALL was specified in the PROCESS statement, there will be a message indicating completion of statistics accumulation.
