EXPORT Statement

Purpose

Copies one table or all tables from an area to a sequential file.

The table(s) can optionally be deleted from the area.

Syntax

Parameters

ALL

Exports all tables from the area.

TDN

Exports a specific table from the area.

tbl-def-no

The table definition number of the table to be exported.

NODATA

Exports the definition of the table only.

DELete

Deletes the table(s) from the area.

By default, if you do not specify DELETE, IDMSRADM does not delete the exported table(s) from the area.

NODELete

Directs IDMSRADM not to delete the table(s) from the area.

This is the default.

Deleting tables after export

SET OWNER USER1.
EXPORT PATH DEPT.
EXPORT TDN 218 DELETE.
EXPORT TDN 923 NODEL.
