The following documentation updates were made for the 18.5.00, 2nd Edition release of this documentation:

Overview, One-Step and Five-Step JCL—Changed references to CULXPROF to CULPPROF.

Page Groups—Descriptions modified to lift restrictions on index sets spanning page group boundaries.

MAINTAIN INDEX—The record length for SYS005 was increased to 32 and the sorting range for SORT4 was altered.
JCL Considerations for RESTRUCTURE CONNECT, JCL Considerations for RESTRUCTURE, RESTRUCTURE, RESTRUCTURE CONNECT—The spill file size must now be a multiple of 40 (previously it needed to be a multiple of 32).
RESTRUCTURE, RESTRUCTURE, RESTRUCTURE—These utility statements for z/OS, z/VSE and CMS commands were renamed, the old name was RESTRUCTURE SEGMENT.
JCL Considerations for IDMSDBAN2—Added information about SYSLST.

18.5.1 changes:

End-to-end public bookshelf—The vast majority of CA IDMS documentation is now available without any restrictions on the CA IDMS public bookshelf. This means there is no log in required to view this content, and the bookshelf as well as the content of the guides available on the bookshelf is indexed and can be found via search engines such as Google.

18.5.00 changes:

End-to-end bookshelf—The documentation for CA IDMS is now presented in an end-to-end bookshelf. As a single point of entry, this bookshelf offers links to all manuals, but also to other relevant information concerning CA IDMS.
Scenarios—The following scenarios were newly created for this version of CA IDMS:
- How to Expand the Employee Demo Database With Mixed Page Group Index Sets
- How to Use SQL Web Connect
Dictionary Diagram—This document was added to the bookshelf.
Quick Reference Guides—All Quick Reference Guides have been phased out. Information that was not already available in other guides was added to the according guides.
