Specifying BUFFERSPACE

You can specify BUFFERSPACE in three places.

• By IDCAMS BUFFERSPACE when you define a cluster
• On a DD card, using the AMP parameter
• In the ACB that is used to access the cluster

Note: The first method assigns buffer space prior to the actual use of the file at the time of the cluster definition. The other two methods assign buffer space when the cluster is actually opened.
