How to Prepare for the Client Command-line utilities Installation
Follow these steps:
- If you have not already done so, read the Release Notes and Readme (if one is provided). Do not install the client until you have read that information and understand it.

- Verify that installation directory paths have been set in your environment for the command line utilities, infrastructure (eTPKI), and Enterprise Communicator (PEC). If not, you must supply them during the installation.
- Create the product user and default installation directories.
- Install the Public Key Infrastructure (eTPKI) to help ensure the security of users, data, and applications in your enterprise.
- Install Enterprise Communicator (PEC), a communications toolkit required for the product's client/server communication.
