When you initially import data into CA GovernanceMinder, the data may contain entities and relationships that cause violations. Pattern-based audit allows you to perform internal analytics to detect mistakes, such as a user that has too many resources compared to other users.
We recommend that you run a pattern-based audit check on imported data before you use Smart Provisioning in CA IdentityMinder. This audit check cleans up your data so that fewer violations trigger when performing Smart Provisioning compliance checks in CA IdentityMinder.
