Add Pre-Approved Violations
For each universe, you can set violations as pre-approved. These pre-approved violations are ignored (hidden) or unavailable in compliance and pattern check Audit Cards.
Note: You need administrator-level rights in the Portal to perform this procedure.
Follow these steps:
- In the Client Tools, connect to the CA GovernanceMinder server.
- Open the Audit Card that contains violations that you want to pre-approve.
Note: A violation must be saved to the database before you set it as pre-approved.
- (Optional) Provide an expiration date or a comment:
- Right-click the violation and select Edit.
- To set an expiration date, select the Expiration Date option and provide a date.
- To provide a reason for the pre-approval, go to the Pre-Approve comment field and enter text.
- Click OK.
- Right-click the violation that you want to pre-approve and select Always Approve this Violation.
Note: The Client Tools must connect to the CA GovernanceMinder Portal rather than the Microsoft SQL Server directly to see this option.
- Verify that the violation appears in the Audit Card titled universe_name Pre-Approved Violations.
