Add Pre-Approved Violations
For each universe, you can set violations as pre-approved. These pre-approved violations are hidden (ignored) or unavailable in compliance and pattern check audit cards.
Note: You need administrator-level rights in the CA GovernanceMinder Portal to perform this procedure.
To add pre-approved violations
- In the client tools, connect to the CA GovernanceMinder server.
- Open the audit card that contains violations you want to pre-approve.
Note: A violation must be saved to the database before you set it as pre-approved.
- (Optional) Provide an expiration date or a comment, as follows:
- Right-click the violation and select Edit.
- To provide an expiration date, select the Expiration Date check box and provide a date.
- To provide a reason for the pre-approval, go to the Pre-Approve comment field and enter text.
- Click OK.
- Right-click the violation you want to pre-approve and select Always Approve this Violation.
Note: The client tools must connect to the CA GovernanceMinder Portal rather than the Microsoft SQL Server directly to see this option.
- Verify that the violation appears in the audit card titled universe_name Pre-Approved Violations.
