Installing Local and Remote Applications › Prerequisites

Prerequisites

You must generate and install all RI trigger modules before you install an application. For more information, see the chapter “Generating Local and Remote Applications.”

You must also complete several additional activities to successfully install an application:

Follow these steps:

  1. Log on to the operating system (if required)
  2. Start the Database Management System (DBMS)
  3. Build the database referenced by the application
  4. Complete any external action blocks used by the application
